El Dia de los Muertos
The holiday El Dia de los Muertos focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. It coincides with the religious days, All Saints Day (November 1) and All Souls Day (November 2). People make sugar skulls and decorate with skeletons dressed in funny ways. They also visit the graves of the deceased and bring them treats.
